If you are an international student who has completed Year 12, you can apply through the UAC website. Scholarships are available in various fields such as arts, humanities, and social sciences; business, economics, and commerce; engineering; science. 

Eligibility requirements include English proficiency level A minimum IELTS score of 7 overall with no individual band less than 6.5 and completion of Year 12. 

Applicants will be assessed on academic merit and financial need. Awards cover tuition fees only and provide support for living costs at home during semester breaks. 

Application deadline: 1 September 2017, 11:59 pm EST 2nd-4th year applicants must meet certain coursework prerequisites before being eligible to apply. You should also review your eligibility before applying by reviewing their general criteria.

Macquarie University International Scholarships

Macquarie University offers a variety of scholarships for international students from several different countries.  The scholarships are offered to students who have completed an undergraduate degree, and they range from $10,000 up to AUD 30,000 per year. 

You can find out more on the website. These scholarships do not provide accommodation or tuition fees, so you would need to be able to support yourself financially. 

However, if you meet the requirements then it could be worth applying to see if you qualify! Scholarships vary depending on country of origin, academic performance, and citizenship status.

For example, Asian students studying law at Macquarie University will get AUD 25,000 each year (excluding expenses). Canadian citizens studying Arts at MQ also receive the same amount (excluding expenses) as part of their scholarship award. 

Keep in mind that there are other scholarships available – even if you don’t think your country is eligible – you might want to take a look through the database just to be sure!

Griffith Remarkable Scholarships

Griffith University is a world-leading university based on teaching and research excellence. They are currently offering Griffith Remarkable Scholarships to international students who wish to study at Griffith University and live in Brisbane, QLD. 

The scholarships consist of full tuition fees for up to four years, accommodation, and living expenses. The scholarship is also available for master by coursework degree programs. 

Applicants should have excellent academic results and be able to demonstrate that they can contribute positively to the student community. 

Applicants will need to be proficient in English language skills and must have completed two years or more of tertiary-level education with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4).

University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships

With a growing global population and increasingly competitive job market, it is more important than ever to study abroad. The University of Melbourne offers Graduate Research Scholarships to attract the best international students from around the world to study at one of its seven graduate research schools. 

In addition to providing funding for tuition fees, course-related costs, and living expenses, the scholarships offer generous travel allowances as well as some domestic flights. One year’s worth of support can total up to AUD$45,000 depending on the specific award. 

Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) or higher level qualification (e.g. Ph.D.). 

Awards are open to both international and Australian citizens/permanent residents. Applications close on March 31st, 2022.

Adelaide Global Excellence Scholarships For International Students

The Adelaide Global Excellence Scholarships for International Students will award up to ten scholarships each year, worth $15,000 each for a Master of Design (Fine Arts) or Master of Architecture program.

 The scholarship is open to international students with an offer from one of these degree programs at the University of Adelaide who have completed either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from outside Australia. 

Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they are eligible for the scholarship and what their academic profile includes. Applicants must submit a short video about themselves in addition to their application form. 

Deadline: 31st October 2018 The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering – ATSE Education Foundation Undergraduate Research Program:  The ATSE Education Foundation provides support for research projects by undergraduate engineering students. 

The Foundation provides funding of up to $1,500 per student per semester for those who apply for its undergraduate research grants.

Flinders International Postgraduate Scholarships

The Flinders International Postgraduate Scholarships are open to international students from around the world who wish to undertake postgraduate study at Flinders University.

The scholarships are $25,000 per annum for a minimum of two years and cover tuition fees, living expenses, return airfares, and on-campus accommodation. Applicants will be considered on academic merit and personal circumstances. 

Closing date: 31 January 2019. To apply, applicants must complete an online application form providing their contact details and a brief statement as to why they should be considered for a scholarship.
