Finally, Xiaomi has announced its three mid-range smartphones in Nigeria. This means we now have Xiaomi office in the country and they will be bringing in more affordable smartphones in Nigeria any moment from now. These are not new phones any longer because they have been launched a few months ago before hitting the Nigeria market.
Below are the key specs and the prices of Xiaomi Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7 and Xiaomi Redmi Go in Nigeria.
Redmi Note 7
The Redmi Note 7 is an affordable smartphone with an impressive 48MP rear camera to come to Nigeria. The handset was launched in three variants with different specifications as follows

Redmi Note 7 4GB RAM + 64GB storage will sell at a price of NGN 66,900 in Nigeria
Redmi Note 7 4GB RAM+ 128GB storage will sell at a price of NGN 75,500 in Nigeria.
Concerning the specifications, the Redmi Note 7 packs a screen display size of 6.3-inch FHD+ waterdrop notch with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone will be strong and the glass will prevent it from scratch and crack.
On the inside is a Snapdragon 660 taking absolute control of the system. The 48MP rear cameras are paired with a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, you will get a selfies snapper of 13MP.
The Redmi Note 7 has a massive nonremovable battery capacity of 4,000mAh with supports for Quick Charge 4. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 will be sold on Jumia Nigeria starting from April 29. You can also buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 in Nigeria from Slot and Pointek stores. The handset is available in Nebula Red, Space Black, and Neptune Blue colors.
Redmi 7
The Redmi 7 is also the latest device similar to the Redmi Note 7. It’s more affordable though with fewer specifications. The phone has already been launched in India at an affordable price and it will equally be available in Nigeria as well.
The Redmi Note 7 has a screen size of 6.2 inches which has an HD+ resolution. It also has display protection of Corning gorilla glass 5 which is scratch resistant. It’s powered by Snapdragon 632, the same processor in the Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power that was launched recently.

The Redmi 7 packs a dual rear cameras of 12MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP front shooter. There’s a feature on the camera app called Palm Shutter which lets you take photos by waving your hand in front of the screen.
Just like it’s siblings, it also has an IR blaster and it runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. The Redmi 7 comes with triple card slot which is for dual Nano SIMs and micro SD card. It also has support for the 4G LTE network.
Redmi Go
The Redmi Go is an affordable budget device with average specifications and it runs on Go Edition as well. The handset can be compared with the iTel S33 or the iTel A32F that runs on Android Go Edition. It’s already available in Nigeria at a price of N22,000 naira on Jumia NG.
