Friday, June 29, will mark Apple iPhone 11th anniversary. The very day Apple released their first iPhone. So far, we have seen some latest iPhones from Apple to the point that we have forgotten the very first and the second phone from this Giants brand. Well, this post is all about Apple iPhone phones and their release/lunched date’s plus their current prices if available.
1. The First and original Apple phone.
In 2007 Apple launched the first and original iPhone with a multitouch screen and digital keyboard. This phone was announced on January 9, 2017, with a model name A1203. Apple sold about 6.1 Million units in one year.
This first iPhone only comes with 1400mAh Lithium-ion battery with 128MB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB and it only has a rear camera of 2MP and it supports just 2G network which was why it successor was named iPhone 3G.
2. iPhone 3G.
The iPhone 3G is the successor of Apple original smartphone that was launched on July 11, 2008. This phone was the upgraded version of the original iPhone as it comes with a 3G network that will allow users to browse more and download heavy files and data. This iPhone 3G still maintain the same 2MP rear camera and 128MB of RAM.
3. iPhone 3GS.
Following the latest phone was the Apple iPhone 3GS. The S on the phone stands for speed because this phone comes with a fast processor and it runs on 256MB of RAM and the inbuilt storage has also been upgraded up to 32GB. This iPhone was launched on June 19, 2009.
4. iPhone 4.
The Apple iPhone 4 was launched in 2010, with a different design that comes in glass body and it was the first iPhone to have a retina display and FaceTime. The iPhone packs 512MB of RAM with 5MP of rear camera and it was on this model that Apple introduced a front-facing camera for a selfie which comes with 0.3MP and it also supports video recording.
5. iPhone 4S.
The Apple iPhone 4S was debuted in 2011 and it was in this phone that Apple introduced voice assistant. The phone features a better camera of 8MP on the back and 0.3MP on the front. And this model became available in many countries even in Africa and in three days, about 4 million units were sold out.
6. iPhone 5
Apple iPhone 5 became available in 2012, this time around, Apple made some changes, for example, the 30-pin charging port was changed to a current Lightning port. It was also on this iPhone 5 that Apple introduced 4G LTE network to their phone.
7. iPhone 5S.
The Apple iPhone 5S was the advance version of iPhone 5 which was released in 2013 and it comes with Touch ID, a fingerprint scanner for security and a new M7 motion processor that allowed users to track their steps throughout the day. The iPhone 5S has 1GB of RAM and it also supports 4G LTE network.
8. iPhone 5C.
iPhone 5C became one of the most affordable iPhones in 2013 which come with a plastic shell with fewer features. For example, the iPhone 5C did not offer a Touch ID and it comes with low internal memory.
9. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
In 2014, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was launched. This two iPhone comes with impressive features and they both have a lot in common. The plus model comes with a large screen size with a more advanced camera that supports optical image stabilization to help users take better pictures. On the other hand, both the two iPhones was the first to support Apple Pay.

10. iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S were released in 2015 and they where the first phone to support more advanced and fast 4G LTE network. In addition, this iPhones was the first to have new 3D Touch displays, which give users the ability to press into the screen a bit more to find additional menu information. Apple also made this phone to be stronger and durable to prevent bending issues that was complained about on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
11. iPhone SE
The iPhone SE is a compatible and pocket-friendly iPhone that was launched in 2016 with an aim of catering for folks who prefer a flagship device with a small screen. This iPhone SE only comes with 4.0 inches and it offers amazing features you will find on its predecessor.

iPhone X.
The Apple iPhone X was the latest smartphone from Apple that was released in 2017 to celebrate their 10th anniversary. This iPhone still maintains the premium body design with a sharp camera and a face recognition features as an additional security.
It does not have any single home button instead it uses gesture control for navigation. The iPhone X also support wireless charging technology and it comes in Space Gray, Silver, and Red colors. The iPhone is still trending and you can easily buy the phone at any online outlets in your country.
Apple iPhone next release.
This Year 2018, we are expecting big surprises from Apple which one of the phones will be the iPhone SE 2. The iPhone SE 2 may be hitting the market soon as Apple annual event is approaching and this phone will pack interesting and mind-blowing features that will bench the popular iPhone X.
There is speculation already that the iPhone SE will have OLED display or may still stick with LCD technology. The screen will be bigger, something around 6.5 inches and it may likely sell at a price of $1000.
