2. Voiceless

The Voiceless focuses on the notorious terrorism in North-eastern Nigeria and is inspired by eye-witness accounts of actual events. It tells the story of Salma and Goni, two young women captured by a dreaded terrorist gang with hundred of other students. The Voiceless is directed by Nollywood veteran, Robert O. Peters.

3. Ìfé

Ìfé is a nice Nigeria movie that features Adaora, and Ífé, two Nigerian women who have to endure the realities of dating the same sex in Nigeria. A country that frowns at the idea of same-sex relationships. Sadly the movies have been banned by the Nigerian Film and video censor board.

4. Introducing the Kujus

The Introducing the Kujus is a dramedy that tells the story of Kuju siblings who are tricked by their youngest sister into visiting home in remembrance of their late mother who died 5 years ago. This is one of the best 2021 comedy movies that is directed by Biodun Stephen and features Bisola Aiyeola, Timini Egbuson, Femi Jacobs, and Bimbo Ademoye.

5. Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story

The Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story is the modern context to the original classic story of Amaka Igwe’s 1995 movie. The Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story is directed by Ramsey Nouah starring Stan Nze, Osas Ighodaro, Bucci Franklin, Efa Iwara, and Emeka Nwagbaraocha.

The movie is rich in production and it features amazing music. The movies explore the unemployment in the country re-emphasizes the corrupt nature of Nigerian politicians.

This is Lagos-based movies that tell the story of Mofe, a factory technician, and Rosa, a hairdresser, on a journey for a better life. The Movie is directed by Arie and Chuko Esiri and stars Jude Akuwudike, Temi Ami-Williams, Cynthia Ebijie, Sadiq Daba, Tomiwa Edun, Jacobs Alexander, and Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah.

8. Quam’s Money

Do you still remember the “New Money” which chronicled the cliche Nigerian dream of the lead, released in 2018? Well, the Quam’s Money” is a follow-up that hones in on Quam, a secondary character, a security guard turned millionaire and his newfound wealth.

The Quam’s Money focused on the potential to be better than the original. The movie is directed by Kayode Kasum and stars Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Toni Tones, and Michelle Dede.

9. Namaste Wahala

Namaste Wahala is a story of a Nigerian woman and an Indian man that won’t let cultural differences get in the way of their romance. The movies features Ini Dima Okojie, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Osas Ighodaro, and Joke Silv.

10. Blue

Blue is a movie that tells the story of Somto who suffers from Paranoid Personality Disorder since the loss of her father left her traumatized at a very tender age. This latest Nollywood movie is staring Adaora Udeh, Tina Mba, Ray Emodi, Ben Touitou, and Odera Olivia Orji.
